Our Wigan salad processing business

Today we sold our Wigan salad processing business – MyFresh Wigan – to owners of the Florette brand Agrial.

MyFresh Chicksands remains very much a part of the William Jackson Food Group, led by Managing Director Tim Proudlove, and will continue to trade under the MyFresh name indefinitely. For the time being the Wigan site will trade as MyFresh Wigan but in the coming months will stop using the MyFresh name.

The sale to Agrial is a fantastic opportunity for the Wigan site. The new owners are experts in fresh produce with a long history of investing in, and growing business in the sector; they are committed to the future of the business at the Wigan site and will invest to continue to grow the business.

WJFG has been a shareholder for 12 years and in that time we have seen the business change dramatically; today it has truly first-class operational reputation and this is a source of great pride to us all.

We’d like to thank each and every one of our Wigan colleagues for their hard work and commitment; it is sad to be saying farewell but we believe this is a fantastic opportunity for them and wish them all well.
