William Jackson Food Group (WJFG) has launched its latest graduate development programme, creating a new specific technical scheme to allow two talented graduates the chance to expand their business and food-based knowledge with placements at two of its businesses.
This scheme follows the launch of the WJFG graduate programme which saw its first intake of four graduates from a variety of universities and degrees begin their 2 year placement this autumn.
WJFG Recruitment Manager, Angela Marshall explains: “The WJFG graduate schemes have been created to help inspire and equip the next generation of food industry leaders with a solid foundation in a food-related business environment.
“Our diverse but complimentary food businesses provide the perfect platform to discover first-hand how businesses operate successfully within the sector. Our first ever graduate programme was launched this time last year and we had a huge amount of extremely high calibre graduates apply.
“As our first intake of graduates begin their placements with us, we identified an additional, more specific internship. The Technical Development Scheme focuses on expanding food law, food safety, Haccp and BRC knowledge, whilst striving to provide the successful graduates with valuable and relevant industry experience.”
The successful graduates will each undertake a 2 year placement, completing a year at two of the Group’s businesses.
“We’ve already had a number of applicants from a range of degree disciplines, but anyone interested still has time to apply as the closing date is 8th January. Our interview selection process will take place in February 2016,” added Mrs Marshall.
